CyberSpeed Racing Will Look Ahead to Nashville
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., Feb. 9 - CyberSpeed Racing will look ahead to the race
at Nashville (Tenn.) Superspeedway April 7 after both Tony Ave and Skip Cummins
were bumped from an extremely competitive ARCA 200 field during qualifying
Friday afternoon at Daytona International Speedway.
Ave's fastest lap during qualifying was timed in 51.104 seconds (176.111
miles per hour), while Cummins' was just a bit slower at 51.419 seconds (175.033
mph). It took a 50.931 (176.710 mph) to make the field on time. There were
also nine provisional starters to make up a total grid of 41 cars for tomorrow
afternoon's ARCA RE/MAX Series season opener out of the original 70 entries.
"Our goal is to secure sponsorship to fund two extremely competitive entries
at Nashville," said Cummins, who is also the team owner.
