1981 - 1999:
Midas Rex Pneumatics Tools, Inc. Quality assurance manager,
regulatory affairs liaison, general manager, CEO. Company grossed $70
million in 1998. Sold company to partners in 1999.
Motorsports/Racing Career:
2005:
Was slated to be one of five drivers of the Kodak EasyShare DORAN JE4
Pontiac at the Rolex 24 at Daytona, along with Terry Borcheller, Christian
Fittipaldi, Paul Tracy and Ralf Kelleners. Never got to drive in the race
when
the car retired at midnight with engine problems. Entry finished 49th overall
and 23rd in the Daytona Prototype class. Borcheller qualified the car 15th
overall and in DP.
2004:
Winning car owner and co-driver at 2004 Rolex 24 at Daytona.
Co-drivers were Terry Borcheller, Christian Fittipaldi and Andy Pilgrim.
Competed in selected
Grand American Rolex Series events with Terry Borcheller
as co-driver. Bell Motorsports provides support, engineering, tuning.
Engines continue to be GM LS-1/LS-6 type. Car/team has GM factory support
and competes as Bell Motorsports' Kodak Easyshare DORAN JE4 Pontiac #54. Car/team
available for sponsorship opportunities on a race-by-race or seasonal basis.

Jan. 31-Feb. 1. (Barber, Borcheller, Pilgrim, Fittipaldi); Borcheller
qualified third overall; team finished first overall and first in Daytona
Prototype
class.
2. Grand Prix
of Miami, Homestead Miami Speedway, Homestead, Fla., Feb. 28
(Barber, Borcheller); Barber qualified 14th overall; team finished sixth in
the Daytona Prototype class and overall.
3. Food City
250, Phoenix Int'l Raceway, Phoenix, Ariz., April 10 (Barber,
Borcheller); Barber qualified 12th overall; team finished 11th in DP and 13th
overall.
4. Six Hours
of Mont-Tremblant, Le Circuit Mont-Tremblant, Mont-Tremblant,
Quebec, May 23 (Borcheller, Pilgrim); Barber practiced but did not compete
in
race. Borcheller qualified ninth in Daytona Prototype class and overall; team
finished third in class and overall.
5. Sahlen's Six
Hours of the Glen, Watkins Glen International, Watkins Glen,
N.Y., June 20 (Barber, Borcheller, Pilgrim); Barber qualified 16th in class
and overall. Team finished ninth both in class and overall.
6. Paul Revere
250, Daytona Int'l Speedway, Daytona Beach, Fla., July 1-2
(Barber, Borcheller); Barber qualified 15th. Team finished 15th in class and
31st overall after Borcheller was involved in an accident while battling for
ninth place.
7. EMCO Gears
Mid-Ohio Road Racing Classic, Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course,
Lexington, Ohio, Aug. 6-7 (Barber, Borcheller); Barber qualified 15th in
class and 16th overall. Finished 13th in class and 29th overall.
8. Sahlen's 200,
Watkins Glen International, Watkins Glen, N.Y., Aug. 12-13
(Borcheller, Oliver Gavin); quals rained out so started sixth by points;
finished fourth in class and overall.
(Note: On Aug. 18 Barber announced that Christian Fittipaldi would drive with
Borcheller in remaining races in 2004; Barber will continued to test car.)
9. Miami 250,
Homestead-Miami Speedway, Homestead, Fla., Sept. 18-19
(Borcheller, Fittipaldi); hurricane activity caused schedule to be shortened
so started sixth by points; finished ninth in class and overall.
10. VIR 400,
Virginia Int'l Raceway, Alton, Va., Oct. 1-3 (Borcheller,
Fittipaldi); qualified fourth; finished seventh in class and overall.
11. Porsche 250,
Barber Motorsports Park, Birmingham, Ala. (Borcheller,
Fittipaldi); qualified second; was running third with just a handful of laps
to go when car was involved in an accident; finished 12th in class/22nd overall.
12. Lexus Grand American 400, California Speedway, Fontana, Calif., Oct. 29-31 (Borcheller, Fittipaldi); qualified sixth; finished 13th in DP and 24th overall after suspension bent due to contact with another car.
Barber finished 23 in Daytona Prototype points for the year. Borcheller, the team's only driver to complete all 12 races, finished ninth in points. Team finished seventh in the Daytona Prototype team standings.
2003: Contested
Grand American Rolex series in Chevrolet-powered DORAN JE4
Daytona Prototype. Contested Grand-Am Cup series in BMW M3. Cars owned and
effort funded by Forest Barber/Feeds The Need Inc., with Bell Motorsports
again providing race support, tuning and engineering of both cars. Keith Roberts
of
Roberts' Racing Engines of Mooresville, N.C. built the Chevrolet LS-1/LS-6
engines used in the DORAN JE4.

Bell Motorsports/Feeds
The Need, Inc. won the 2003 inaugural Daytona
Prototype team owners' championship and Terry Borcheller won the Daytona
Prototype drivers' championship in DORAN DP/Chevrolet.
The team won
half of the 12 races on the schedule:
1. Barber 250 at the Park, Barber Motorsports Park, Birmingham, Ala., May
18
(Borcheller and Barber).
2. Mid-Ohio Road Racing Classic, Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Lexington, Ohio,
June 28 (Borcheller and Barber).
3. Paul Revere 250, Daytona Int'l Speedway, Daytona Beach, Fla., July 4
(Borcheller and Barber).
4. Bully Hills Vineyards 250, Watkins Glen International, Watkins Glen, N.Y.,
Aug. 8 (Borcheller and Barber).
5. VIR 400, Virginia Int'l Raceway, Alton, Va., Oct. 5 (Borcheller and
Pilgrim).
6. Grand American Champions Weekend, Daytona Int'l Speedway, Daytona Beach,
Fla., Nov. 1 (Borcheller and Barber).
(Barber missed one race due to a family emergency and later sat out a second,
letting Pilgrim drive. He still finished seventh in the overall point
standings for the year. The six drivers who placed ahead of him competed in
all 12 events.)
Borcheller and
Barber had most overall Daytona Prototype class victories for
'03 with six and five, respectively. Borcheller had five front-row starts,
two from the pole position. Pilgrim had one pole position start and one race
victory with Borcheller.
Barber qualified
fourth, third, and second in class in consecutive races, and
had five race victories with Borcheller.
Borcheller has
eight podium finishes in DORAN JE4 Chevrolet DP and Barber has
six podium finishes.
Grand-Am Cup Series:
Barber and Borcheller
tied for second place in 2003 Grand-Am Cup drivers'
championship.
2002:
Began racing Grand-Am Cup series in BMW M3 with Jim Bell/Bell
Motorsports tuning and engineering car and providing race support. Car was
owned and effort funded by Forest Barber/Feeds The Need, Inc. Terry Borcheller
was the
co-driver. Also tested with Andy Pilgrim several times in 2002.
2000
- 2001: Raced Formula Mazda regional events and competed in Ferrari
Challenge. Won class at Watkins Glen in Ferrari.
1996
- 1999: Established Feeds The Need, Inc. Raced off-shore powerboats
with
John Tomlinson. Won five national and world championships from 1997 through
1999. Established successive U.I.M. kilo speed records, 1998/1999.
1987
- present: Various driving schools/experiences including Porsche
driving
school, Jim Russell driving schools, Bob Bondurant driving school, Frank
Hawley drag racing school.
1974
- 1982: Raced motorcycles in cross country, enduro and motocross
events.
