RYAN HAMPTON

Although he has road-racing roots and he was the Sports Racing Prototype II national champion in 2000
in the Grand Am Rolex Series with six victories, Ryan Hampton's goal is to compete in the Indy 500.

He competed in five of seven Infiniti Pro Series races in 2002 and won his third race ever in that series,
becoming the first driver in Indy Racing League history to lead a race from start to finish with his
Gateway victory.

He passed his IRL rookie test in 1999 and is poised for IRL stardom. He's also keeping his road-racing
skills sharp by continuing to compete in Grand Am and ALMS races, and he has two podium finishes at
the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona (2001 and 2002) to his credit.
2002: Although he only competed in five of the seven races, he won the Infiniti Pro Series race at Gateway
from the pole and finished ninth in points for the series inaugural season. With the Gateway victory he
became the first driver in IRL history to lead a race from start to finish. Finished third in Infiniti Pro Series
season finale at Texas after starting 12th.
* Finished third in the Rolex 24 at Daytona in the SRP II class driving a Kudzu-Mazda.
* Finished fourth in the ALMS event at Sears Point Raceway in the LMP675 class.
