everyone cheering.

1997: Drove Keith Wimberly's Clabber Girl midget and picked up rides in
sprints and Silver Crown cars whenever possible. Set a new track record at
Eldora, Ohio in Boyce Holt's USAC sprint car, a machine he had never even sat in
before that night. He was running second and drawing up on the leader when the
car's hood flew off, ending his run.
Moved from Bloomsburg, Pa. to Indianapolis.

1996: Primary driver of the midget which brought John Givens his second ARDC
CARQUEST car owners' title. Won four ARDC features and finished sixth in the

to the Midwest for USAC shows. Heydenreich has 34 career ARDC midget
victories as of the end of the 1996 season.

car owners' title.

1990: Won prestigious Chili Bowl midget race in Tulsa, Okla., beating both
Steve Kinser and Sammy Swindell. Beat Jeff Gordon's track record in time trials
at Belleville, Kan. Midget Nationals and went on to finish second in that
prestigious event.

1987: Hut Hundred midget race winner at the Indiana Fairgrounds, which was
the first time he ever drove on a one-mile dirt track.

1980s and 1990s: Top midget driver in the East, primarily with ARDC. Won
four of the big midget races in his hometown during the annual Bloomsburg Fair.
Won the All-Star Outlaw Midget Championship at Grandview (Pa.) Speedway in
1983, 1985 and 1987.

1960: Started racing at age 4 in quarter midgets. First race was around a
baseball field at the Millville Carnival in Pa. He had to have pillows to reach
the pedals. He was in the lead coming down for the checkered flag when the
pillows slipped. He ran over two hay bales, missed the finish line and knocked
over the trophy girl and the card table holding the trophies. He hasn't
really slowed down since.
