2004: Continuing to concentrate on his business concerns in racing, including Racer Parts Wholesale and SPEEDCOM/SPEEDCAM. Helped to organize the new Endurance Racing League. Sold his Riley & Scott since Grand American's rule changes exclude it from competition.
2003: Concentrating on the business aspects of racing through his businesses, Racer Parts Wholesale and SPEEDCOM/SPEEDCAM Communications (radio and video systems). Also is focusing on the burgeoning SCCA Sports Racer market. Another one of his companies, TRV Motorsport, is the exclusive distributor of the brand-new Merloy D-Sports Racer. The TRV Motorsport racing team also continues to field entries on both the pro and amateur levels.
Along with John Mirachi of Racers' Edge Motorsports, Volk was also the American importer of the new Zeus C-Sports Racer being produced by JonathanPalmer in Great Britain.
2001 and 2002: Competed as a driver and team owner on a limited schedule in the top class, SportsRacer Prototype, of the Grand American Rolex Series. Campaigned the car he owns, TRV Motorsport's Supreme Exhaust SystemProducts/Racer Parts Wholesale Riley & Scott Chevy #95. Put the car up for sale to the vintage market at the end of the 2002 season after Grand Am's rule changes made it ineligible to compete due to the institution of its new class, DaytonaPrototype.
2000: Volk was a consistent top-10 finisher in the top class in Grand American Road Racing Association events. Competed in his own car in six events in 2000: the Rolex 24, Homestead, Mid-Ohio, the Paul Revere 250 at Daytona, Road America and Watkins Glen. Finished five of the six events and was in the top-10 in class each of those times. His best finish was fifth at Homestead.
Although he did not compete in four events due to budgetary constraints, he still finished 14th overall in the SportsRacer class of the Grand American Road Racing Association's final point standings out of 87 competitors.
1999: Debuted TRV Motorsport's new Riley & Scott Mk III Chevy at Rolex 24 at Daytona driving with Jeret Schroeder, R.J. Valentine and Paul Debban. Finished eighth in Can-Am and 21st overall. Ran selected events the remainder of the year. Car required a major rebuild after a fire during practice at Mid-Ohio.
1998: Ran six World Sports Car (Can-Am) events in his own Kudzu Chevy. His best finish was third in the Can-Am class in the USRRC race at Homestead, Fla. inished fourth in class at the 12 Hours of Sebring and seventh in class at the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona. Only had one DNF, and all the other finishes were in the top 10. Was running eighth overall and fifth in the top class at the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona with just a few hours remaining when the car's ring and pinion broke.
1997: Ran seven World Sports Car events. His best finish was eighth in the series' first visit ever to the brand-new Pikes Peak International Raceway in Colorado. Recorded two other top-10 finishes.
1996: Began his first full year of competition in the IMSA World Sports Car series driving his Kudzu Chevy. Ran six events and had three top-10 finishes.
1995: Finished sixth in the SCCA GT1 National Runoffs. Made his World Sports Car debut, running two races in the Brown Motorsports No. 7 Spice Oldsmobile.
1994: Finished third in the SCCA National Runoffs in the GT1 class. Ran selected SCCA Trans-Am races. Won many SCCA national events in the GT1 class.
1993: Entered his first SCCA Trans-Am race in Detroit, and also competed in the Trans-Am race at Mid-Ohio. Had numerous SCCA national wins in GT1.
1991-1993: Ran SCCA Club racing events, winning the Central Division Regional Championship in 1991. Recorded numerous national victories in GT3 and GT1.
1988: Began his racing career driving Formula Fords.
